Designer Dupes

We all love a designer dupe, nowadays more than ever.  We all want fast fashion but I want quality too!  Who wants to spend their month’s wages on an outfit that you only want to share once or twice on social media?

The original Italian fashion designers have gone back to their roots with Gucci inspiring their latest collections with the Italian flag coloured stripes over prints as well as bold designer ‘G’ logos and Fendi have brought back their F logo baguette bags.

At Havetolove we have had the latest Gucci inspired styles and have the ‘Kate Middleton’ Gucci style tweed dress now in the SALE for £53.  Shop it here

Our latest craze is the romantic Italian fever of fiesty florals from Dolce & Gabbana of the duo’s 2018 summer collection.

IMG_9561

‘Groundbreaking, florals for summer’ said Anna Wintour.

This collection isn’t just floral, it’s a mix of romantic florals, Italian church interiors with a fun and fiery edge.  The collection celebrates romanticism and Italian Catholicism.

Hola Hola

Summer might not have hit our weather forecast yet but it’s here to stay for a while at Havetolove!  Holidays are fast approaching and we want our wardrobe to be summer ready!  I have just recently flown in from Mykonos, my new fave place, so I thought I would share my Havetolove fashion holiday looks with you.

TREND- All the stripe moves

Where to wear – On a yacht off the South of France or site seeing in Montenegro

Kendall Jenner oozed class as she was spotted on a yacht in Cannes, wearing a short striped top with white trousers and Audrey Hepburn style sunnies. Stripes are a trend which will never fade and an all time classic.

Fendi paired horizontal with vertical nautical stripes and Ellie Saab turned nouveau technicolour dream with multicoloured striped maxi dresses

More mature and less preppy, Gingham is now more fashionable thanks to J W Anderson, Rosie Assoulin and Altuzarra.  Wear Gingham dresses with heavy boots for an updated grunge look.  House of Holland teamed fishnets under layers of gingham and Peter Pilotto rebelled Wizard of Oz gingham with grafitti and badges.

Women are from Mars…

Paris Fashion Week never fails and Karl Lagerfield took his Frow to the moon and back!  Known as much for his theatrical sets as his statement tweed jackets, Models in Chanel Fall17 paraded round a branded Space shuttle (Chanel of course) which took off on the finale at the Grand Palais.

Jackie ‘O 1960’s inspired tweed dresses and boots… fast forward to 2050 aerospace style suits and metallic fabrics.  Culotte tweed suits were worn under a quilted futuristic shawl.  Not sure if you could wear this on the high street!

Gigi wore a tailored houndstooth jumpsuit and make up was 60’s inspired with Bardot backcombed hair styles and headbands.  Huge alien-like oversized glasses were worn with spaceship printed floaty dresses.

Metallic threads were weaved into trademark Chanel tweed fabrics, oversized white shirts were worn under knitted dresses and sculpted capes worn over tailoring three quartered tailoring.

On the Frow, Pharrell sat next to Cara and Lily-Rose Depp.  Chanel, always the hottest ticket in fashion, I wonder which planet Lagerfield will take his audience to next…

Street Style Watch

Street Style is used as inspiration to forecast fashion trends and there is no better way to see what we will be wearing for the season ahead.  Take a look at the street style trends from the Fash Pack at New York and London Fashion Week and how to style the newest must-have trends…The Slogan Tee…

From Christian Dior’s ‘We should all be feminists’ tee to Sacai’s ‘Fashion is a Passion.’ the slogan tee is all the rage again.  My fave has got to be from the king of the Slogan tee, Henry Holland…’Suck on my toe Phoebe Philo’ and ‘I would get on all fours for Michael Kors…’

Style tip: Tuck it in!

Sheer Luxe

Think Mossy the bossy (Kate Moss) inspired 90’s look in a transparent slip, with only knickers underneath.  From Tuille to sheer fabrics and Perspex trousers, from Erdem to Dolce & Gabbana it’s all about layering.

Style tip: Don’t leave your bra at home, it’s only a good look on the catwalk!

Pink to make the boys wink

From blush to fuschia, all shades of pink dominated every fashion week.  Chanel Couture produced pretty prom style pink dresses and Balenciaga paired their pinks with purple spandex tights!

Style tip: Sugar coat your drobe and don’t be afraid to mix and match different shades of pink.

Athlesuire

Moving on from sports luxe to Athlesuire, sportswear was particularly prominent at Milan Fashion Week.  Versace teamed Jane Fonda like one suits with matching annoraks, Gucci teamed retro running leggings underneath tuille and floaty dresses.  Street style saw fashionistas teaming hoodies with brocade suits.

Style tip: invest in sporty silhouettes in feminine fabrics such a lace bomber jacket

Get shirty

Whether it is deconstructed or has oversized fluted sleeves, the shirt is the must-have item this season.  The more ruffles the better, like this Victoriana one.  Jacquememus sculpted tiered sleeves on their shirts and Dolce & Gabanna added OTT ruffles.

Style tip: Invest in a pin stripe navy or plain white shirt this season.

“Ooooh LA DI DA”

HAVETOLOVE has once again teamed up with the fabulous La Di Da Magazine with a column from me.  This double page spread gives you all the ‘need to knows’ of the new fashion trends coming this season. From Mink Pink’s sportswear and the new khaki ‘kraze’ this piece gives you a guide into welcoming the colder seasons in style. All these new trends are available at HaveToLove plus a whole new collection of #trending styles and trends.

Ive chosen my favourite wardrobe essentials for AW16, giving you the in’s and out’s of why these are going to be the next new thing. Starting with the rising influence of sports apparel, incorporating sportswear into fashion and not just for the gym. Another key trend was the 80’s comeback, from Isabel Marant’s fashion show giving a #throwback vibe. So this means, velvet dresses, off the shoulder dresses and chokers for days.

Get the new La Di Da issue and read more about what you should be wearing in this season and check out HaveToLove’s new collections featuring all the trending and celeb styles mentioned.

To celebrate HaveToLove and La Di Da’s birthdays, HaveToLove are offering you  the chance to win £100 worth of gift vouchers.  All you need to do is stock up on your favourite outfit for our style challenge and tag @ladidamag and @havetolovefashion.

Check your breasts: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

imageI have kept my experience close to my heart, however as a breast cancer survivor I wanted to share my story and raise the importance of checking yourself regularly.  I have been shocked at the amount of people who have told me they wouldn’t know how to check their breasts and the presumption that breast cancer is for older women.

When I first visited the GP I was asked what I was worried about.  I mentioned cancer and the GP told me I was too young to have anything serious.  I was asked to go away for three weeks and look at it again but I persisted and asked for a referral.  A week later I was diagnosed with Breast cancer.

There is no right or wrong way to check your breasts, the most important thing to look for are any changes.  I will describe my symptoms however please be aware that symptoms vary from person to person.  Take a look at my video to show you how to check your breasts and to hear my experience click here

For a clear guide on how to check your breasts follow this link to the NHS website

If you or a family member are suffering from cancer please visit your nearest Maggies centre for help and support.

For more information check Breastcancer.org

Please share with your girlfriends!  This is also for my very brave friend Vicky x
